Feel the hype!

We were told we might get trades of All Stars and instead we got...

Detroit signs Kedra Holland-Corn

A solid signing for the Shock as she adds streak shooting and perimeter D. The main question is, can she rediscover her 2003 form? It's been a couple of years since she's been in the WNBA and she's on the wrong side of 30 now.

The Shock still need somebody to run their offence. I expect them to continue shopping Riley around for a pick or PG.

Minnesota signs Adrian Williams

I guess she was signed to "bolster" post depth but I don't think she'll see many minutes. Too finesse to play low post and her skills and decision making are a bit shaky at the high post. She's a nice rebounder and would make a good 4th post for Minny. Go here for the Lynx's thoughts on her.

The Sun sign Candace Futrell and Megan Mahoney

They may make it or they may not but I don't expect either of them to make much of a difference. Futrell could develop into something more but if Erin Phillips turns up, I don't really expect her to get the PT to be able to develop. I suspect the better defender between Mahoney and Brungo will stick around but once again, it's not going to make much of a difference.

Sparks sign Ha Eun-Joo (thanks to pilight)

Well she's 6'7".... and she's 6'7". Those stats don't look encouraging and the Asian style of game does not translate well to the WNBA but it will be interesting to track her progress.

WHERE IS THE ALL STAR TRADE???!!!
