European Championships Update - Spain upsets Russia in group play 83-77 (OT)

Spain grabs OT win, led by Amaya Valdemoro. Valdemoro had 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Anna Montanana had 17 points and 7 rebounds. Stepanova led the Russians with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Svet only had 2 points and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes. The group Spain and Russia are in now has FOUR teams tied at the top with a 2-1 record - Lithuania and Serbia & Montenegro are up there as well. I'd expect S&M (heh) to drop though as they're playing Spain and Russia in their last two games.
In the other group, Czech Republic (minus two stars in Vodichkova and Blahuskova - MVP of last Euro Champs) is unbeaten at 3-0 with France (obviously minus PG Edwige Lawson) and Latvia equal second with 2-1 records (France just having beaten Latvia 67-50).
