Lindsey Harding has two years of eligibility remaining, after being suspended for this year. She will be in the Class of 2007.

Michelle Campbell, a 6'2 forward for RU, is also an excellent prospect. This year she's finally living up to her tremendous potential, averaging around 12ppg and 6rpg on 58% shooting from the field. Her numbers would be higher, but because of the lack of height on RU, she's been forced to play a lot of 5. Next year, when RU brings in all-american 6'4 freshmen Kia Vaughn, she should be able to slide to the 4 and become much more productive.

Hmm I forgot about Campbell. She's definitely someone who should be on there.

Good point about Harding but I'll wait for a bit until changing that.

look for Kari Koch in '06, a junior this year slowed down by knee injury, but looks to take over next year. Kari scored 14 on Tameka Johnson in her first full game back this year. She can play the 1 or 2 gaurd, though undersized she's even played the 3. SWMoSt. should be in tourney check out this complete player. VERY UNSELFISH.

I'd add Megan Duffy from Notre Dame to the point guard list. She was an honorable mention Kodak All-American this season and ranked among national leaders in free throw percentage, assists and steals. They don't run any plays for her but she's also their second leading scorer and a strong outside shooter — the only one on the team, really.

Brooke Smith, 6'3 Center, Stanford

I think Aya Traore from Purdue University is also an excellent player. She Average 20 ppg in her JC but was forced to red Shirt after she tore her PCL her first year. She also saw limited action last year due to a scope she had earlier in September. Look for her this coming year.

I saw that Stansbury of N C State is classified as a senior this year. If she is eligible for the draft she should go high. Beka Brunson like athlete, with ACC comp. Also at 6'2" is a big for this class. Will Brook Smith come out in a week post year?

Also Simmonds from George Washington U. (In D.C) 6'2".

Two comments/corrections for the Baylor University Lady Bears:

You list Sophia Young at 5'11" but Baylor's roster shows her at 6'1", which sounds right to me, having seen her in person here in Seattle.

Bernice Mosby will sit out 2005-2006 at Baylor, then play one year. She's listed here as 6'2", while Baylor has her at just 6'1".

Sakellie Daniels, UNC Charlotte
Watch out for her...she's a quick 2 guard with skills.

Sakellie Daniels, UNC Charlotte
Watch out for her...she's a quick 2 guard with skills.

Jack Daniels, Tennessee.
Watch out for her... she's smooth, strong, and I guarantee anyone who's gone head to head with her all night will be feeling it the next morning.

I think Ashley Haynes from Austin Peay should be added. She's a sleeper pick like Feenstra was last season. A 5-11 wing whose currently averaging 13.5 boards a game.

Also add..
Lisa Willis, 5-11, G, from UCLA
Ambrosia Anderson, 6-2, F, from BYU
Melanie Boeglin, 5-11, PG, from Indiana St.
Zane Teilane, 6-7, C, Western Illinois
Krista Rappahahn, 6-1, G/F, Stanford

All could be 2nd or 3rd round picks based on their current stats.

ZANE TEILANE, 6-7, C, Western Illinois

O, Yeah!
Zane Teilane is an incredible player!
6'7" Height

51 % field
74 % free
9,8 rb
1,5 stl
3,6 (!) as
4,3 (!) blk
16,0 pts

Zane Teilane rulzz!

PLEASE ADD Melanie Boeglin to your list. She's a 5-11 PG from Indiana St. Her stats are:

18.2 ppg
8.1 apg
4.6 rpg
3.3 spg

I see her as a second round pick.

I would first like to say thank you for having this site available for us who enjoy womens basketball. Your mock draft is food for thought and very interesting. I will post my mock in the next week or so and would love your input. I do have a few things I would like to respond to on earlier posts...

1. Zane Teilane - I have watched her twice this season. She played against Jessica Davenport at Ohio State at the start of the season and was average. Keep in mind, Jessica is 2 inches shorter than she is and dominated Zane. Zane needs to add some weight to play at the next level, because she hasn't seen the likes of Sylvia Fowles.

2. Melanie Boeglin - Very solid player. With that said, inflated numbers against subpar talent is neither impressive nor draft worthy. Late third round or camp invitee at best. I'm sure if we research Melanie has a brother named Todd...

3. Debbie Merrill - It must be very hard to go from the scorer at Cincy, then go to OSU to play in an offense geared at getting Davenport the ball in the post almost to a fault. Debbie is able to elevate her other numbers and until Sunday she was on a pretty good run. She finishes the season playing against Michigan St. and Purdue and could face one or both of the them in the Big Ten tournament. She will need to have some monster games to push her stock into the first round. If the season ended today she would probably land in Detroit(17) or maybe Chicago(20). I do feel she will be an asset to whoever she goes to, quite possibly a steal...

Keep up the work Platypus and we need more food for thought.......

The Guru...

I think if you have ever watched the University of Kentucky Wildcats play you should have noticed a tremendous rebounder with a great nose for the ball she brings her game every night and is always ready to play when Mickie(UK coach) calls her. So the next time UK is on TV and you have the chance to watch them look for a #32. She great. I want to add that not only does she rebound the ball great night in night out but she does this fabulous rebounding in the SEC!!!!!!!

SENIOR

Sholanda Hoston of LSU has a great allround game and I would include her.

I'm so HAPPY for Sakellie Daniels, she's my first cousin and ever since (Kellie)learned how to walk around three years old the girl was carrying a basketball, knowing that she grew up around alot of boys and her brothers, she was going to be a great basketball player oneday everyone said.. I'm maybe seven years older than her, and at that time when she was in the sixth grade I couldnt handle her on the court at her home, in Raeford NC because she broke ankles and all.

Im HAPPY for Her and MAY GOD continue to BLESS her.... And Keep you head up (KELLIE).

Nina Norman of Texas has opted to not enter the WNBA.

If MSU G Kari Koch is on there Lady Bears G/F Sarah Klaasen has to be there also........

MELANIE BOEGLIN??? Neither impressive nor draft worthy?? "I'm sure if we research" people who dont know what theyre talkin about itd tell you that numbers dont always mean success...Shes a complete player, there is literally nothing on the floor she cant do and she is a 365/24/7 worker. She practices at least 2 times a day 365 days per year and shes is MORE than a leader in the locker room and on the floor, i tend to remember another Sycamore who didnt have all the talent but worked harder than anyone, uh, LARRY BIRD maybe...YOU CANT REPLACE TRUE LEADERSHIP AND THAT KIND OF WORK ETHIC WITH ALL THE TALENT IN THE WORLD. DRAFT HER OR DONT, WNBA's loss

i think that kamesha hairston who is a guard on Temple will be a good 2007 draft prospect. she is good enough to go in the second or third round this year. She is not afraid to make plays. She helps candice lead the team and keep them in order.

what about Maryland???

I think Shay Doron is a great potential for second round guard
