A very interesting quote from Staley in this story
Staley, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, has played professionally overseas and is a point guard for the WNBA's Charlotte Sting.
"I think it'll be a great experience to play under a woman for once," Maddox said. "And someone who's been where I want to go. My dream is to play in the WNBA."
"The odds of a young lady reaching the WNBA are slim to none," Staley said. "It will increase her chances by coming here, with my connections."
I'm not sure whether these advantages actually exist (then again, Temple hasn't had a player of WNBA-level talent yet) but considering they're already so anal about various things, it wasn't a smart move to bring it up. This is a conflict of interest actually worth worrying about.
