Sydney/Canberra thoughts from the weekend

* Player comparisons - Trish Fallon has a similar game to Seimone Augustus (not saying they're currently at the same talent level). Donna Loffhagen is like a D-grade Yolanda Griffith.
* Jenny Whittle is as soft as ever. So many blown layups/putbacks.
* Belinda Snell rocks. We already knew that.
* Tully rocks. We also knew that. She's like that mosquito who never goes away. Had a bit of a shocker turnover wise.
* Tammy Hoare had a great game. She made her layups! Let's hope it's not a flash in the pan.
* Eva was pretty solid as well. Except for those silly fouls.
* We still need to merge Kelly Wilson and Adrianne Gilbert. That would be one fine point guard.
* Tom Maher is like a senile old man in a nursing home - ranty but generally useless.
* Sydney showed great mental toughness. Canberra came at them a few times but their O and D stepped up at the right times and they never trailed after the first quarter.
* The scoreboard people at Sydney Uni suck. Get your act together people! You've been sucky all season - it's not hard to put up correct foul numbers.
