Gwen Jackson/Adrian Williams trade

This one had been in the works for a while as Adrian wasn't fitting into the new Mercury system.
I think this is a good trade for the Mercury. Yes, Gwen isn't the physical post presence the Merc needs but who's going to give up that for Adrian? Gwen can play inside and out (significant upgrade over Adrian - when Adrian was pushed out of the key, she really wasn't that useful) and is also significantly cheaper than Adrian. If Gwen can provide 6-8 points a game and a couple of rebounds and do that consistently, the Merc will have a winner.
A new start could be good for Adrian. She performed really well before the All Star break of 2003 and then disappeared off the planet after that. She has to get mentally tougher though and bulk up a bit. On the top of her game, she's a great rebounder which is something SASS could use. However I'm wondering why they didn't trade Gwen for a shooter instead - a much greater need IMHO.
