ABC WNBL preview
Friday 12 September 2003
The ABC have posted a decent preview and it looks like it's going to be a ripper of a WNBL season. Bulleen and Dandenong have improved BIG TIME and most of the other teams haven't done too badly either (understatement). Looks like six teams will contend while the AIS will continue develop players (looking forward to seeing a healthy Afeaki and Cunningham). Poor Perth looks to be left behind. If they can get Crouse to stay, that will help them big time but losing Cox (knee reconstruction) is a big blow despite the fact they get Tully back.
Anyone know what the deal with Natalie Hughes is? Please drop a note if you do. Though the Flames haven't done a bad job in finding a replacement (another understatement - Kelly Wilson and Michelle Musselwhite are more than ample compensation).
UPDATE: Poster on laurenjackson.org forum says she's off to Europe. Can't say I blame her.
